- Grendel was raged because of the loud noise of the Danes. Grendel arrives at Herot, mercilessly attack and killing the Geats.

- Upon Beowulf's arrival, King Hrothgar welcomes Beowulf soon after Wulfgar has escorted him to Herot. King Hrothgar was thankful because beofwulf was brave enough to help them.

- Thank you brave man, for saving us from the beast.

- Beowulf decided to fight Gren with his barehands, Beowulf fights and rips off Grendel's arm- who flees and later dies in his lonely cave.
- Beowulf v. the Dragon
- *This battle-shield shaped of iron, will help me defeat him* (pg.25)
- Grendel's mother attacks Herot and retrieves Grendel's arm- which was held as a trophy by Beowulf- and flees to an underwater cave. Beowulf follows her and soon kills her by using a magic sword forged by giants, which is the only weapon able to defeat her.
- King Hrothgar shows his gratitude to Beowulf by inviting him to her daughter's - which is Freawaru - wedding to Ingeld - a young lord of the Heathobards -
- 50 years later...Beowulf has to defend his people by killing a fire-breathing dragon. Beowulf along with the help of Wiglaf successfully kills the dragon. Despite this, Beowulf later dies by a wound on his neck caused by the same dragon.
