- now we are in JAMA MASJID
- I see, I know Jama Masjid is built by Shah Jahan
- yes, it was built by him between 1650 to 1656, and inaugurated by the first IMAM, SYED ABDUL GHAFOOR SHAH BUKHARI.
- we are in shah Jahan Abad, which is now called the old Delhi. This masjid is located here, this was the Mughal capital.
- ive also heard that the masjid had 2 names:- MASJID-I-JEHAN-NUMA and JAMA MASJID.
- MASJID-I-JEHAN-NUMA means “mosque commanding the view of the world” in Persian and Urdu. And Jama masjid emerged among the common populace.

- their workforce was really diverse- had Indians, Arabs, Persians, Turks, and Europeans.
- did you know that the construction was supervised by SADULLAH KHAN, he was the wazir/ prime minister during Shah Jahan's reign.

- I read somewhere that the Jama masjid was made by the best mixture of marble and limestone.
