- so the girl in the dress would be Saint Cecilia and the man would be valerian...as well as almachus and pope urban. The second nuns tale is the 13th story in th Canterbury tales
- climax
- at this point in the story Cecilia is at home with her parents when she gets sent to marry this guy she doesn't even know. this upsets her very much and does not want to do it but is made too
- falling action
- ok so heating up cecillia gets betrothed or sent to valerian but her being so Christian and wanting to stay a virgin her whole life, on her wedding night she tells valerian that anyone that violates her body will be slayed by her guardian angle, he wants to see this Guardian angel but must be baptized by pope urban first, so he does that and he see the one proclaimed as god
- resolution
- returning home he sees the guardian angel and asks for one wish to be granted, its for his brother to be baptized
- so later a vile pegan named Almachius arrests Cecilia, she gets a trial, even tho she answers cleverly, she gets condemned to death, she's first put in boiling hot water but it doesn't work, the executer tries three times but it doesn't work she lives for three days while then she sung and turned non believers to believers.
- after cecillias eventual sad death, pope urban declares her to be saint cecillia concluding the story
