- EXPOSITION
- Hey that's a Greaser, lets jump him!
- i'll just go to the movies alone, i will probably not get jumped. But if i do my bro's will save me
- I wish we could just be accepted, just because we have less money than the socs doesn’t mean we are stupid and mean and always starting fights
- CONFLICT
- RISING ACTION
- The main character PonyBoy, his brothers Sodapop, and Darry, there friends TwoBit, Jonny, Dallas, and Steve all live in the east side of Tulsa Oklahoma where the less wealthy live, The Gang of friends are known as Greasers and can't stand the people living on the west side called Socs. The two groups are always getting into trouble fighting eachother, like when 2 soc's jumped Pony and his brothers and friends had to save him and after hurt the 2 socs that tried to hurt pony.
- CLIMAX
- The greasers are always viewed as gangsters and bad people so its hard for them to deal with people judging them and assuming bad things about them, especially for people like pony who care a lot about acting appropriately, having good morals, and doing the right thing. So when pony is walking around town with his friends and he sees people judging and socs making fun of them and getting into fights with them pony is really annoyed and thinks its super unfair how they are treated, which he explains to his new friend Cherry.
- RESOLUTION
- Then Darry and Pony got into a fight and Darry hit Ponyboy which he had never done before, causing pony to storm out of the house and meet up with Jonny.
- FALLING ACTION
- Then Pony and Jonny walk to the park and are confronted with a huge group of socs looking for revenge since pony and Jonny were talking to there girlfriends. When Pony starts being drowned by socs Jonny does the only thing he can think of and that is trying to defend themselves, but he accidentally stabbed and killed Bob. So the other socs ran away, and Pony and Jonny run.
- At the end Jonny died in the hospital, Dally killed himself because he felt he had nothing else to live for after Jonnys death, The rest of the gang fought against the Socs and Won but they all had very bad injury’s after like broken bones and concussions. Pony went down a slop of bad grades and depression. Until his teacher made him write a theme essay and he divided to write about
