- There were three different types of taxing during this time. Taille(property tax), Gabelle(salt tax) and vingtieme(income tax).

- This is a famous meeting of the Third Estate where they vowed to create a new constitution for France.
- around 900 Parisians gathered near the courtyard and stormed the Bastille. The prison wardens eventually surrendered and the rebels cut off their heads.
- Many Parisian women armed with weapons marched to Versailles and forced Louis to accept the new decrees. They also had many wagon loads of flour from the palace storehouse.
