Storyboard Text

  • Ugh! I'm breathing so heavily, I'm so out of shape!
  • Make sure you let yourself catch your breath, you don't want to have too much carbon dioxide.
  • Well, your body is constantly doing this thing called cellular respiration. It's when you breath in oxygen to make ATP, or energy, and release carbon dioxide. Glucose and oxygen are needed to make ATP and it is then converted into carbon dioxide, water, and ATP
  • What's that supposed to mean?
  • Woah..
  • That's really cool!
  • Yeah! Theres 3 steps to it, first glycolysis separates the glucose and NADH carries it. Next, the Krebs cycle uses oxygen and glucose to create ATP. Lastly, the electron transport chain uses Oxygen and ATP to produce H2O and ATP. That's what makes up cellular respiration, though its a little more complicated than that!
