- Mom you're always embarrassing me in front of my friends! I'm not eight years old anymore, I'm seventeen. I should be treated that way.
- Being excited to pick you up from school is embarrassing? You should be very grateful I'm able to come pick you up everyday.
- Mom I only ask that you call me Sam around my friends, or they'll make jokes about it at school.
- Why can't I call you Sammy around them, its so cute! You used to be ok with me calling you that, since you were seven!
- Yes mom, when I was seven I was ok with it but now I am nearly eighteen years old. At some point it has to end the baby talk and excitement.
- Look honey, I really think you need to realize how beautiful our mother daughter relationship is! I bet none of your friends' parents have it like we do.
- That is exactly my point! My friends don't get treated like this by their mom or dad, at least not publicly!
- Ok so when we are home can I still have my little girl?
- Yes momma, you can still call me Sammy and go wild at home, but at school especially be mindful please.
- I think that sounds fair. I'm so happy we could make a compromise sweety; you're so smart just like you know who.
- Hahahah. Yeah mom, I owe my beautiful looks and my brain to you. I love you.
