The Law Making Process
Hi, we are here to show you the process of how a bill is passed into law
That's Right, We will get to see all the steps into how a bill is signed
First the bill is introduced on House floor
I think having a cat should be mandatory
After that the bill will be sent to committee
I personally like the bill.
So do I!
There are many steps in order for a bill to become a law
The house of representatives will debate and then vote on the law
all in favor of the bill?
I!
Even if a house member has a great idea for a law, it doesn't mean it will be signed
The senate will also debate and vote on the law
Are the members of the senate in favor of the bill?
Yes!
If the committee agrees on the law it will be sent to the house to be voted on
The president votes to sign the bill into law
I love cats!
After this the bill will be sent to the other side of the house and the steps will be repeated
With no interruptions by the supreme court, the president can vote to make the bill into law or veto the law
Once the president signs the bill, it officially becomes law!
