- Gaia gave Zeus a herb that he put in Cronus' drink causing him to violently vomit up Zeus' siblings( Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Poseidon, and Hades). Zeus released the cyclops and hundred-handed monsters and a war ensued. Ultimately the gods won and defeated Cronus. The monsters were so grateful they gifted Zeus a lightning bolt, Hades a magic helmet, and Poseidon a magic trident.

- Zeus put a being named Prometheus in charge of creating man and animals for Earth. Prometheus had help from his brother, Epimetheus, who created animals. Prometheus made man from Earth and water and gave them the ability to create fire. This angered Zeus because he felt like man was too powerful,so he made woman to weaken man.

- To Punish Prometheus, Zeus bound him to a rock on mount Caucasus, here he was tormented by a vulture that would forever prey on his liver.
