- We cant hang the next three or there will be a revolt against the court.
- This is when Mrs. Putnam accused Goody of using witchery to kill her unborn children and she did this because she had never had any miscarriages. This is an example of Jealousy because Mrs. Putnam only accused her because she was jealous that she had never had any miscarriages and has kids.
- Hysteria
- He made me say all those things, im with god now, im with god now.
- This is when Giles was in court for witchcraft and the girls made up the lie that there was a dark shadow talking ot him. This is lies and deceit because they lie about him sealing his sprite out on one of the girls and then during the trial all of the girls started saying he had a dark figure talking to him. It deceived the judge into thinking he is doing witchery.
- Lust
- This is when Hawthorn told Paris that they needed to have Proctor confess if they did not want him to hang because he wouldn't draw back his decision. This is an example of pride because if he drew back the decision because it would be like say that he was wrong and it would "bring shame to the court"
- Greed
- Get off my land
- Mary breaks down and starts to go crazy and says things about Proctor telling her to sign stuff and to falsely go against the girls.This is considered hysteria because she out of nowhere breaks down and practically goes crazy and starts accusing which puts everything into a mess.
- Abigail and the two other girl danced in the woods as a ritual to try and kill Proctors wife so Abigail could be with him. This is lust because Abigail is doing it to try and get with a married man who she wants to be with.
- This is when Putnam was trying to tell John Proctor that some of John Proctors land was his because his father put it on his will, but John Proctor shut him down saying his father didn't own the land and put a lot of land he didn't own on the will. This is an example of greed because he keeps trying to take others land for himself even thought it isn't his and even though his family is the richest and has the most already.
