- Alright the wagons all ready lets start this journey
- Sounds good lets get moving then we have a long way t go still

- this is what we were meant to do
- The life of the mountain men was really difficult because they had to get all the supplies at make everything themselves. They also had to find a way to live on the rugged terrain of the mountains and had to deal with the weather
- Mexican American War
- we want this land
- but its ours
- The Oregon trail played a very important part in the westward expansion because it was a long trail that almost all the settlers used to get to Oregon. Because the trail was so long it was a very hard journey to go on and resulted in a lot of death.
- Mormons In Utah
- this house will definitely help the other settlers
- The belief that american settlers were destined or needed to settle to the west. This thought process caused many people to move west
- California Gold Rush
- A war between Americans and Mexicans over territory where the Americans were constantly victorious. In the end the Americans gained over 50,000 acres of new land.
- They traveled ahead and built posts and houses and also planted crops. They were led by Brigham Young.
- The gold rush influenced the history of California and the United States. It also propelled the industrial and agricultural development.
