We are introduced to the White's in their parlor in England. On a cold, snowy night, the have a mysterious guest, Sargent Major Morris, who has a special gift for the White's. The Monkeys Paw.
Climax
There is an internal and a external conflict in this story. Man vs. Fate, The whites temptation vs the paw. Man vs. Self, Mr. White vs his devotion to his family.
Falling Action
Despite the warnings of Sargent Morris, Mr. White retrieved the paw from the fire, and wishes for two hundred pounds.
Resolution
There is knocking at the door knowing that there kid was buried in a cemetery 2 miles away. Mrs. White scrambles to get the door open hoping it is her son. Mr. white is terrified for his wife to see her son zombiefied.
As Mrs. and Mr. White are fighting and arguing, the knocking then comes to an end. There was no one at the door, and Mrs. White cried in misery and despair as she runs to the front yard chasing what she believed to be her son.
Mr. White joins his wife outside in despair and relief as the street lights flicker off, as the sun begins to rise.
