Storyboard Text

  • My mass is 1,800 kg, and my name is Jared
  • What's your mass, mine is 2,500 kg. Also what is your name mine is Jerry
  • I think we are about to crash, but you are going to have more damage because you have a bigger mass.
  • ok will i have more damage because my car is bigger?
  • To answer Jerry's question, bigger cars like this one have a bigger mass so they will have a bigger impact when getting crashed, but smaller cars have less mass so they will have less damage when getting crashed.
  • You can also do equations with mass, newtons, and meters per second squared which are all apart of newtons second law. The equation formula for this is F=MxA
  • F=MxA stands for force equals mass times acceleration, an example of this equation is, i have a mass of 100 kg and 5 meters per second squared what is the force, so i would multiply the mass times meters so the force would be 500 newtons.
  • Seat belts keep us save in the car, with the help of Newtons Second Law of coarse.
  • And remember the bigger the vehicle the more mass it has so it will have more damage will happen if you get into a crash.
