Odysseus is king of Ithaca and lives with his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.

Odysseus is called on to help fight in the Trojan war but he doesn't want to, he wanted to stay with his wife and son.

Odysseus fakes being crazy and straps an ox and a donkey together and spreads salt on the beach but the guards saw through him and to call his bluff put his son in front of him so he would hit him. Odysseus swerved out of the way to avoid hitting his son and they proved he was faking madness.

Odysseus goes to Troy to help fight the war.

While in Troy Odysseus, who was favored by Athena, came up with the idea of the Trojan horse, putting men inside the horse and offering it to the Trojans as a fake gift.

Odysseus left Troy after the war was won but encountered many problems on his way home. He and his men had to fight many monsters and all of his men died in the process.
