- spirit! why do you delight to torture me?
- come in and know me better man
- The first spirit then shows him where he was apprenticed and Fezziwig's party.
- Oh no, kind spirit! say he will be spared.
- spirit, tell me if tiny Tim will live
- I see a vacant seat and a crutch without an owner.
- finally the ghost shows scrooge belle, when he broke up with her and how her family is currently.
- scrooge meets the ghost of Christmas present
- have they no refuge or resource?
- the ghost of Christmas present takes scrooge to the Cratchit's house, where they are having a joyful Christmas dinner.
- scrooge is then taken to Fred's Christmas party.
- the consequence of his taking a dislike to us and not making merry with us, is, as I think, that he loses some pleasant moments
- scrooge is introduced to ignorance and want.
- are there no prisons? are there no workhouses?
