- Why would Sherri Valance be at an old run down church?
- After the fire, Johnny, Pony, and Dally all got out safely and managed to get all the kids out of the church when suddenly they heard a girl scream from inside the burning church!
- Sherries Explanation
- I've been following you guys along...
- Dally and Pony went in, and it was Cherry! She was stuck under some rusty old wood. They carried her out. She had a big scratch on her leg.
- Speechless
- ...
- They arrived at the hospital with a few mailboxes sacrificed on the way. Johnny was driving. Cherry got her room, and they all asked for an explanation from her. At this point, they were all thinking, why would Sherri Valance be at an old run down church!?
- The Peace Article
- Sherri stuttered and the doctor came in. She explained that she has been following them for a week now. She was writing an article that tried to prove how the Greasers and Socs weren't that different and that she was hiding in the church trying not to get caught when suddenly the church went on fire.
- The boys went blank. They didn't know what to say and after a few seconds of silence, Pony asked Cherry if she wanted him to hold anything of her's while she got checked up. This was really just an excuse to read what she had so far.
- Half an hour passed and Pony went into the room Cherry was in. By this point, her parents and a few of the Socs had already arrived to the hospital. Pony had a shocked expression on his face. He loved the article. He knew that if he showed it to Mr. Syme, he could publish it to the school paper and stop the rumble. And so, he did just that...
