- Family, Hobbies, & Talents
- My name is Erika Mitchell and I was born on June 11 2009, which happens to be the same day of my parents wedding anniversary, though in an earlier year. I live with my parents and sister, who is in 10th grade. My whole family was born in New York except my sister and I, which is why we go up their once a year to visit them. One of my hobbies is reading, especially suspense and historical fiction books. I also like to do puzzles and any type of thing that challenges my brain. I also like to go on walks through nature and watching true crime documentaries. Another one of my favorite things to do in cooking anything, but I especially enjoy baking. Some of my talents are doing math and critical thinking. I am also good at remembering small details of things. Many people also tell me that I am good at writing essays and responding to prompts. I can also type pretty fast.
- Special Interests, Traditions, & Fun
- Some of my special interests are learning about anything in the medical field, because one day I want to become a doctor. I also like to learn about different murders and crimes. Another special interest of mine is cooking for other people. Some traditions we have in my family is for any special occasions or holidays we have a family gathering. Some other traditions we do are once a month we go out and do a family activity, though what we do varies. Every Halloween, instead of going trick-or-treating, we go and do some other Halloween-based activity.What I like to do for fun is going on walks in nature, but especially near bodies of water. I also like to watch true crime documentaries or horror movies. Another thing I like to do is reading books and going shopping.
- The Perfect Day
- One the perfect day I would wake up early and have a smoothie for breakfast. I would get ready and go walk out in nature for a hour. The weather would be in the low 80's and have a small amount of wind blowing. When I finished I would give my cats attention and go visit my friends and family. Once done it would be around 2:00 and I would read for a hour and then pack a picnic. I would go to a park that didn't have a lot around it and have a picnic. After this I would just walk around until it was dark and go home and have a fire in my backyard. I then would go to bed.

- About My Name
- There is no story for how I got my name. In Japanese, the word Erika means "favor, benefit". In the bible my name means "sole ruler, autocrat", or "eternal ruler, ever powerful". If I had the option to change my name, I wouldn't because I think it suits me. I say this because I think my name is pretty and is spelled in an unique way because most people spell it like Erica.
- How Long I've Lived Here
- I have lived in this community my entire life. I also have never moved at all, not even a house. One thing I like about living here is the temperature doesn't get to extreme during the seasons. I also like that we don't live to far from a coast and we don't live in a major city. The only thing I don't like about living here is that we don't have very many mountains in the state.
