Storyboard Text

  • What's friction?
  • Hi I just learned about friction.
  • I know that a science law is a statement that is always true
  • You riding your bike is a perfect example of Sir Isaac Newton's 3rd law of motion.  It says for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
  • I get it! My bike pedals are going backward so that my bike can go forwards
  • Newton's second law says that force = acceleration + Mass. Molly doesn't have enough force to move the table.
  • This table is impossible to move
  • This Ice is so slippery. Bobby told me that because of Newton's 1st law of motion. It says that any object in motion will stay in motion will stay in motion unless it is acted on by an outside force. An object at rest will stay at rest unless it is acted on by an outside force. I know that I will hit the wall and stop sliding because of newton's first law.
