  • Hello, I am DNA. Currently I'm using a string of my genes to code for mRNA. I am doing this because the cell needs to create a protein which serves a specific function. The mRNA will help this process by using its codons to code for an amino acid. Once completed the mRNA can move out of the nucleus.

  • Hello, I am mRNA. I just left the nucleus and I'm heading to the ribosome through the cytoplasm to get TRANSLATED. The ribosome will read my codons (3 nucleotides) and have tRNA send over the desired Amino Acid! Amino Acids are the molecules that make up a protein.

  • tRNA and Amino Acids
  • Hello, I am ribosome. My function is to translate mRNA and tell tRNA to bring over amino acids that the mRNA needs. The tRNA transfers these amino acids by using their anti-codons and attaching them to the mRNA's codons. At the end of this process we will have created a strand of amino acids.
