Did you cut down on sweet things...and what about exercise?
If you don't cut his food right down and give him more exercises, he'll be really ill.
Oh, I'll....though it is very difficult...I'll
Good morning Mrs Pumphrey,Tricki seems....
Morning Mr. Herriot, actually my Tricki looked so listless, I was compelled to give him a little extra food.
Oh, I did for a bit but can't bear to refuse him.....and he does his little walks with me.
Few days later
Oh, but my Tricki would pine and die if he did not see me every day
Mr. Herriot, Tricki is eating nothing, he even had a few vomits.
Mr. Herriot'sVeterinary clinic
He must be hospitalized for a fortnight to be kept under observation.
Tricki is very ill and this is the only way to save him
Mrs. Pumphrey sent Tricki's beds, toys, cushions, coats bowls and other sorts of luxuriesbut none were used.
Right now, I should keep an eye on him and instead of food, I should give him plenty of water
His progress was rapid without any medicinal treatment. He discovered the joy of being bowled over, tramped on, and squashed. He had never had much time in his life.
Tristan is slopping the food into the bowls..and I'm pleased to see Tricki jostling his way towards it.
Mr. Herriot told Mrs. Pumphrey that Tricki was out of danger and was convalescing. She started bringing round fresh eggs to build up Tricki's strength and wine to enrich Tricki's blood. But this meal was enjoyed by Mr. Herriot and his partners
This feels like a temptation to keep Tricki as a permanent guest, but I know how Mrs. Pumphery is suffering. So, I should inform her that the little dog has recovered and is awaiting collection
Ah, Because of Mrs. Pumphery, lunch seems a ceremonial occasion.
Ooh my dear Tricki!
Oh, Mr Herriot, how can I ever thank you? THIS IS A TRIUMPH OF SURGERY!
