  • Line is a mark made using a drawing tool orbrush. There are many types of lines: thick,thin, horizontal, vertical, zigzag, diagonal, curly,curved, spiral, etc. and are often veryexpressive. Lines are basic tools forartists—though some artists show their linesmore than others.
  • a shape can be defined as the form of anobject or its outline, outer boundary or outersurface. Everything we see in the worldaround us has a shape.
