  • YAY!!
  • This is my assistant kurken he is a well we don't know what he is but he is a pretty cool dude and will help me out today.
  • Today I will be teaching you about how plants and animals make photosynthesis and cellular respiration!
  • Lets's Begin!
  • Why I'm doing this so my chlorophyll pigments can capture the energy within my chloroplasts so it can create what we call photosynthesis! The chlorophyll produces high energy electrons.
  • AHHHHH!!!!!
  • That stupid plant down there is sucking the energy straight outta me!
  • Maybe we should ask him why? Plant why are you hurting Mr. Ray?
  • Whats wrong Mr.Ray?
  • The high energy electrons that are produced are then carried by an NADP+ to a different part of my cells so then reactions can occur.
  • That's right and the light dependent reactions occur within the thylakoid membranes.
  • AH! I know those light dependent reactions use light to help produce ATP which is the energy we use in our cells
  • Well there are two different types of reactions light-dependent and light independent
  • What kind of reactions happen persay?
  • Right and then light independent uses the ATP produced and NAPH to produce high energy sugars from CO2 within the stroma.
  • Isn't there also the Kreb's cycle?
  • The first step in this is converting glucose into pyruvic acid this is what we call glycosis.
  • Which then produces ATP and NADH
  • The next step is cellular respiration.
  • Yeah isn't that where pyruvic acid is broken down into CO2
  • Right and every turn of the cycle there is new energy produced such as ADP which then changed to ATP
  • It also produces citric acid which is then broken down into 4 carbon molecules used to make CO2 to get electrons transported to their carriers.
  • Yes there is bt there is more two it than just that the pyruvic acid has to pass through the two membranes and into the mitochondrias matrix.
  • Electron transport uses the high energy electrons to synthesize ATP from ADP
  • Now the electron transport chain is made up of electron carriers in the inner brain of the mitochondria
  • AND THAT IS CELLULAR RESPIRATION!!!!
  • I didn't know so much can happen in plants and animals. That is just mind blowing!
  • Don't you mean plasma blowing!! XD
