Visiting The Church (10 years old)
My Mom Talking To The Choir Teacher
Prepared To Sing at Church
My First Communion (10 years old)
Virgin of Guadalupe (11 years old)
My future (13 years old)
When I visit Church every Saturday night, I always hear the kids singing at the choir. I want to be part of the choir but I was shy. I feel like maybe the choir is not meant for me. I felt like I don't have a voice to sing.
A few days later, when my choir teacher was teaching the kids to sing the song, my mom went to the choir room and ask the choir teacher if Lexy and I could join. I was not prepared to be part of the choir. I was still shy and I don't know the songs lyrics.
Every Saturday, at 5:30 pm our church choir practice started. We learned so many songs. Then at 7:00 pm, church start. When we finish mass, sometimes our choir teacher gave the kids a gift. I felt comfortable being with my friends, my choir teacher, and being able to sing together in the choir.
When I do my first communion, my choir teacher told us if Lexy and I want to sing our solo. I was nervous but I want to try. There was many adult that are singing and one kid that will play the drum. When we practice, my choir teacher, my mom, and the adults loved our voice. I was so happy and blessed. When we went to sing at mass, I made a small mistake on the lyrics but I let it slide. I felt embarrassed but it was also funny.
It was 11:00 pm and my family and I went to church to visit Virgin of Guadalupe. One boy that sang the solo part was absent so my choir teacher said if I could sing his part. I was nervous but I was brave to sing. I told her yes of course. When I sang, I felt so proud of myself. Everyone loved my singing.
I kept thinking to myself, what should I be when I grow up. Then I think about the Choir and how much I love hearing my music. Singing made me feel proud and confident. Singing is something that helped me become who am I today and the future.
Mom, I want to join the choir because it sound beautiful and I want to sing...but I'm to shy
It's okay! I know you could do it!
Hello, I came here for my daughters to go sing in the choir. They loves how the choir sang and they want to participate
Of course! They could join
