  • Think about our culture!
  • As the British continued the invasion of India in the late 19th century, they started producing cash crops on Indian fields, thus making a profit with sales and preventing the Indians from creating traditional clothing and produce (forcing a new way of life and starving many Indians).
  • The people will starve!
  • Do as we say or die!
  • The British continued to alter India's culture and education system by teaching local youth the English language and establishing better schools and transportation networks, letting many Indians believe the British were doing a good deed, thus leaving their old lifestyle behind and embracing the new culture, Christianity (the British, didn't bring education to India, but were rather seeking control over the country - colony).
  • India improved so much!
  • The Bakshi family tries to neglect the new lifestyle and culture forced in their country, but soon become one of the few ones to do so. Rejecting the British lifestyle and Christianity, the Bakshi family connects with other rebels to fight for the country's freedom and independence.
  • At what cost?
  • We cannot live like this anymore
