  • The law of April 6th 1830 This was Mexico’s attempt to regain control of Texas. The law banned immigration to Texas from the US and had other measures aimed at regaining control.
  • Conflict at AnahuacTwo Texas (Travis and Bradburn) were arrested. Lots of Texians became upset and stormed a fortified building in Anahuac. This would be some of the first violence we saw between Texas and Mexico.
  • Fredonian RebellionA small rebellion in Texas by an empresario and his brother. They upset a lot of people and then started a small rebellion.
  • The ConsultationThe Consultation was a meeting of important people in Texas where they tried to decide what to do next. The main issues were, the purpose of the war, which leaders were the best, the type of government Texas would have after the war.
  • Mier & Teran ReportA report by the Mexican government which concluded they were losing control of Texas. Many of the laws of April 6th 1830 were caused by the concerns in this report.
  • Guerrero DecreeIf had not abolished slavery, maybe Texas would not have revolted
