Storyboard Text

  • Water erosion occurs on an annual basis, it is caused by floods, volcanic eruptions, and tornados.
  • The consequences are that it hurts the plants and animals in that area.
  • What is happening to the soil? and how is it being degraded?
  • Who is impacted? and who is responsible?
  • The animals, organisms, and humans are impacted. The thing that's responsible is mother nature and weather.
  • The cause is from too much water that the soil can't absorb. This happens from rainfalls, thunderstorms, etc and not having enough plants or trees to absorb it.
  • It will typically happen in flat areas like fields, flat lands and any other area with not a lot of nature.
  • What is the cause of water erosion? and where does it happen?
  • Things like pollution in the soil from oils, gases, garbage, etc reduces the soil quality and prevents plants from growing so when it rains it will lead to water erosion.
  • are there any other causes that may lead to water erosion in soil?
  • This issue is big because one it makes the soil quality bad preventing plants and crops from growing. Two it makes it hard for organisms and animals to find food and decreases the biodiversity in that area.
  • How serious is this issue?
  • The likely outcomes if this continues are lack of food sources, no animals or organisms in that area, crops can't grow, water quality will be bad because all the water in the soil either goes to plants or lakes or rivers.
