- The Day's Work
- Pedro, thank you for working so hard for our family, I don't know what we would do without you!
- All in the day's work! Don't worry Mother, hopefully I won't be going anywhere any time soon.
- The Letter from the Lord
- But it is simply not your duty to fight!
- You've got a point, but it is my duty to follow the lord's orders
- You are required to serve for the army, come to the castle at once.The Knights
- I have just received a letter from the lord. I am required to serve in the army, for they need more warriors.
- The debate
- How will we possibly work the fields without you, son!
- I have no choice! I must fight and return. You all can manage without me for sometime. I shan't be gone for too long.
- But you mustn't go! It's far too dangerous!
- A peasant boy named Pedro is working the fields very quickly and efficiently. He is a big help to his family. Right now, he is doing his duty of planting crops for the people. He lives on land that is rented from the lord.
- The Training
- I believe that if I have faith in myself, God will help me and allow me to become a good warrior. I will try my best and work my hardest
- On this very day, you will be taught how to fight so that you are able to prepare for the coming battle. I advise you to pay attention and work hard.
- Pedro is forced to serve in the army, it is required by the lord. The most important rule in peasant life is to follow the orders of the lord. He is clearly not fit to be a warrior, all he ever did was work in the fields. How was he to learn how to fight?
- The Battle
- Pedro debated with his parents as to what he should do. They both thought he shouldn't go, for his own safety. But what good would that do? Pedro had to go, there was no other option. He made up his mind and decided to fight until he could return.
- The Warrior's Victory
- I can't wait to tell my family all about this life changing experience!
- Yes! I have returned with an even bigger advantage! The lord favors me!
- Pedro was determined to work hard and train well for the battle. He believed that somehow he would be rescued by God and become a good fighter. All he ever wanted was to win the battle and return to his family. He knew he had to win, he was determined to.
- Pedro trained remarkably well and he knew he was ready for the battle. This battle would determine whether he would return to his family or not. He wanted more than ever to reunite with his dear family, so he sent a quick prayer and gave it his all! Pedro was very intelligent, so he used smart tactics that he learned in order to defeat some knights.
- I must win for my family! I have worked too hard to loose.
- Pedro and the other Knights had been victorious in the battle, it was all thanks to Pedro! He had become a true warrior. They couldn't have won without Pedro's excellent strategies and plan. Pedro returned home favored by the lord and the Knights. He believed that God helped him win the battle and continued to have faith in himself. He couldn't wait to tell his family about his amazing victory!
