She's Talking about the Events at the Neuromuscular Junction
I don't understand anything she's saying
And the process is described in 6 steps:Step 1: An action potential reaches the end of a motor neuron.
Imagine the junction as a tree and its roots- the roots connect the tree to the ground much like the Motor Neuron connects to the muscle fiber.
Step 2: Calcium ion protein channels in the motor neurons are stimulated to open, and calcium ions enter the motor neuron.
Step 3: The influx of calcium ions causes vesicles containing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine to fuse with the membrane of the motor neuron.
Step 5: The sodium ion channels open, and sodium ions diffuse into the muscle fiber.
Step 4: Acetylcholine diffuses across the synaptic cleft and binds to a receptor sites on the membrane of the muscle fiber.
Step 6: The influx of sodium ions depolarizes the membrane of the muscle fiber.
That's basically what she was saying
Oh now I understand.
