- ponyboy lives with his friends and siblings. Him and them are greasers they live on the east side. The socs, rich mean people and live on the east side.
- CLIMAX
- johnny kills bob, because bob and other socs are beating up pony boy and johnny thinks they are gonna kill him
- FALLING ACTION
- After johnny kills bob they go to dally s, they get clothes, $50, and a gun. Then they get on a train and go to a church in windrixvill. they have very little food. then dally and soda meet them and take them to DQ they tell them about cherry. on there way back they see that the church is burning and there are kids in it. johnny and pony go in to save the kids is falling they get all the kids out as jhonny is coming out something falls on him putting him in the hospital.
- RESOLUTION
- johnny is in the hospital and there friends come and meet them. then dally reminds pony about the rumble. a big fight they are all getting ready for it now it started and no one is moving they make the first move and soda it getting hurt pony saves him but he gets hurt they won so they go meet johnny in the hospital and he dies dally is so mad the he robs a store and then gets the police to chase him he pulls a gun out and dally gets shot
- pony is chasing soda be he is sad, his friend sandy sent the letter back unread. they chase him through the park and finally get him. and ask him why he is running soda says its because he hates it when they yell because it makes him feel like there friendship is falling apart. pony is in the hospital because he has a cut on his head and passed out.
- pony finally began his story and it started wile he was walking out of a movie house with 2 things on his mind paul newman and a ride home.
