- The ancient civilization of Rome is located in Italy. The civilization of Rome started when a Latin tribe built a village in Italy which eventually became Rome. Italy is a peninsula which means it has water on three sides.
- Describe the Etruscan Influence of sports on the Romans
- The myth starts with a princess giving birth to two twin sons Romulus and Remus. When the twins uncle finds out jealousy takes over and he sends out his recruits to steal the babies and drowned them in the river but instead of drowning a she wolf saves the boys and raises them as her own until the boys grandpa hears that they are alive and orders his solders to bring them to him. When the boys arrive to the kings palace their grandpa says they should name the city state and with them being raised by wolves they still have that nature so the boys fight until Romulus kills Remus and the civilization is eventually called Rome.

- This structure is called an arch. An arch is a curved cement or marble piece that is rested on two pillars.

- The Romans adapted most of their architecture from the Greeks and Etruscans. Often times the Romans used Greek designs to make their public buildings and then later made them larger with cement slabs.
- In Rome they believed in the gods and goddesses along with the Greeks. The Romans copied after the Greeks and wrote in all capital letters . One thing all these civilizations have in common is their pottery. The Romans admired Greek pottery so they took the Greek designs and sometimes scientists couldn't tell if the art was Greek or Roman so they came up with the term Greco-Roman.
