  • Today were going to learn about what happens when you fall and bruise yourself.
  • Ouch! I bruised my self. This is what happens: Small blood vessels break and bleed. Because there is no cut the red blood cells are trapped under the skin.
  • The main organs that are involved in the circulatory system are the heart, lungs, arteries, veins and portal vessels.
  • Also, other names for the organs are Cardiovascular for the heart and Pulmonary for the lungs.
  • What are the main organs involved in the Circulatory System?
  • The lungs carry oxygen from the air we breathe to cells throughout the body. The pumping of the heart drives the blood flow through the arteries, capillaries and veins.
  • Well, the heart carries oxygen and other important nutrients that all body organs need to stay healthy and to work properly. It pumps blood through the circulatory system.
  • What are the functions of the organs?
  •  Arteries carry blood away from the heart. There are 2 arteries left and right.
  • Veins have one way vessels instead of muscles to stop blood from running back the wrong way. Normally veins carry deoxgynated blood from the body to the heart, where it can be sent to the lungs.
