  • The sacrament of reconciliation celebrates Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross which allows us to have a relationship with God. When Jesus died on the cross, he opened up the gates of heaven for us. God forgave our sins when Jesus died on the cross and when we confess our sins to a priest, we celebrate the forgiveness of sins.

  • As children of God, the youth have a chance to gain eternal life with God through the sacrament of Reconciliation. Reconciliation washes away our sins, which brings us closer to God. A relationship with God is the only way to true happiness. Also, it brings relief from feeling guilty or bad about ourselves through the feeling of forgiveness and teaches us to forgive others as well as ourselves.
