- The Civil War Ends Leaving the South in Ruins
- I feel bad for the South. They are in ruins because of this Civil War, but at least slavery is over.
- You feel bad? They deserve this and so much more for starting it!
- The 13th Amendment Ends Slavery
- Whoo! The African Americans are finally free! This is what I've always fought for.
- Finally! Now that all slaves are free, I must protect their rights of freedom.
- Sharecropping Replaces Slavery
- How is sharecropping any better than being a slave? Freedmen are in this endless cycle of poverty and debt. This is no better nor fair!
- Sharecropping is terrible! If congress was in charge none of this would have happened.
- The 14th Amendment Grants Citizenship and Equal Protection Under the Law
- Now that all former slaves are citizens and equal under the law, I really hope that the national government will help them out and protect them.
- With my power, I will do everything I can to protect these Freedmen.
- Racial Tensions Rise
- This is ridiculous! All people regardless of race should be treated equally and with respect!
- All people should be treated equal! If only the South had an extremely harsh punishment. Then they wouldn't be like this.
- The 15th Amendment Guarantees Black Men the Right to Vote
- I'm so happy that they have the right to vote and decide the fate of this nation. However, I think women should be included.
- Now that they can vote, Congress must ensure protection against poll taxes, literacy tests, and the horrible Grandfather Clause.
