  • MosesOnly 25 day left
  • No one would ever forget the awsome story of how God saved the Israelites by parting the waters of the sea and leading them across on the dry land, then making the waters close back over the egyptians drowned in the sea, and the Israelites were free!
  • The Promised Land
  • The Exodus and the events leading up to it as we remembered every year to this day the Jewish feast of Passover, with its special memorial meal, the Seder. In this meal the Jews recall how the Israelites ate at meal of lamb, and sacrified to God, and unleavened bread before they fled Egypt in great haste, to be freed and saved by God.
  • Once again it would be wonderful to say, "And they lived happily ever after". But of course that is not what happened. The Israelites, who had been chosen and freed by a tender and loving God, soon lost sight of how gracious God had been to them. While Moses spent forty days on the mountaintop receiving the Law from Yahweh, the people down below grew impatient.
  • Moses himself never reached the promised Land. He died just before his people entered the fertile territory of Canaan, promised to Abraham's descendants by God as a land " flowing with milk and honey"(Exodus 3:7).
