After the death of his father, Simba, the Prince of the Jungle, leaves the Pride Lands in fear of being blamed for Mufasa's death.
At the beginning of his runaway, he is greeted by Timon and Pumba. They show him how they live and teach him the lifestyle of Hakuna Matata.
Simba later finds out from his long-lost friend, Nala, that his Uncle, Scar, has taken over the Pride Lands and let all of the Hyenas destroy the land and scare away all of the animals that once lived there in peace.
Nala convinces him that he is the rightful King and that he should be fighting for his land and people.
Simba returns to the Pride Lands and faces Scar in a battle for the Pride Lands. He is assisted by the other lions and his trusted companions.
Due to the courage of Simba and his friends, Scar was devoured by the hyenas for betraying them and the hyenas left the Pride Lands in fear of Simba.
Simba learned that life is hard, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer.
