  • On the boat ride, I talked to grandpa about his old adventures. I found out he worked on the boat for hours painting it his favorite color. He put time into enjoying nature.
  • Background on Zechariah:- Zacharias is another name for him- Prophet of the Kingdom of Judah- probably born during captivity and brought to Palestine in his early life- Son of Iddo- 11th minor prophetThe Book of Zechariah:-intro to the book-recounting his dreams- images of the future promise land- Jews rebuilding the temple
  • Message of Zechariah:That god will let the people have their promise land(Jerusalem) becoming a sign/beacon to the nation without the evil sin
  • This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: You can be sure that I will rescue my people from the east and from the west. 8I will bring them home again to live safely in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be faithful and just toward them as their God.(Zechariah 8:7)
