- We, Michael, Dalaina, and Jeffrey, are loyal to our Principal, Mr. Ward. By the grace of the Board of Education for NCPS, we all hope to acheive our main goal by establishing our own colony. As a group, we identify our main goal/course as remodeling the education system as a whole. We believethat in our current location, the education system is heavily flawed, with deeply rooted biases/prejudies ingrained into it. Wether it ranges from simple issues to undeniable favoritism, we hope to purge it in our colony.
- Having undertaken for the glory of our sucess in remodeling the education system, we hope to build a society that provides a truly safe enviorment for students. To show our loyalty to our Principal, Mr. Ward, we have decided to name our colony the Wardians. We are leaving from North Carolina and are going to establish this colony on Mars. While our main focus is on how our education system will be like, we also envision having a Democratic Government for the society around it. The society/ school laws/ rules will be determined by those in our colony through held meetings and vote, with the more oblivious ones already being established.

- In this colony, we strive to give our people the best lives that they can possibly achieve through their own hard work. To achieve this, we must have an already established set of rules to keep everyone in check, as a society must have some form of order to be successful. Four of these rules will be that workplace discrimination (sexism, racism, etc) is prohibited, school shall start at 8:30 A.M. and end at 3:30 P.M., physical altercations of any kind will lead to both parties involved receiving consequences unless it is a case of self defense, and harrasment of others will not be tolerated at all. While there may be some rules that are already established without say from the people, this does not reflect how they all will be passed in our colony. We believe that it would be best for our society if the people a majority in the say of other laws that may have not been brought up here.
- To further explain what I had said before, in our colony, there will be a select few people who will act as some form of legislature branch. They would have all gotten these positions through public vote. All of their jobs would be to create laws that they believe will fix issues that may be in our society and change it for the better. After this, they will present these laws to the public and try to explain what they do/how it can benefit our colony. The public will then be given the choice to vote on whether or not these laws should be passed, ensuring that they have most of the power when it comes to these topics.
- If there were to be a situation in which we were unable to meet the expectations that we have set for ourselves, our colony, or our students, then we will use a pre-made letter of redress. This includes providing some form of compensation to those who were affected by our mistakes. If the students were the ones to be affected, then we will issue an apology letter to them and their parents. This will not be the only thing we do, as we will make up for any missed days by pushing back final exam dates to provide them with more time to study. If the students weren’t the only ones affected, but the rest of the colony was as well, then we will try our best to provide financial compensation to them.
