Fighting infection

- Madison and Bella are out together eating lunch at their favorite spot, when all of a sudden Madison (the one on the(right) sneezes without covering her mouth. She currently had a cold to. At the Same time Bella (one one the left)inhales all of that bad bacteria.
- Inhales
- ACHHOOO!
- Unfortunately for Bella the virus has entered her body and. gotten into her blood stream and is on a hunt to find a host
- Antigen
- Pathogen
- Antigens are a type of special protein that are produced from B cells and have a unique marker on a pathogen to identify it
- Now that the virus has entered her body, her body works to fight off the infection. During this time Bella starts to become sick.
- The B cell attaches to a pathogen then multiplies to create antibodies to actack against the pathogens
- Now that the infection is now over, there’s are leftover B cells, and antibodies.
- These left over B cells help build up her immune system by making a memory of the pathogen
- Now after the infection was beat Bella is feeling much bette. She also has the antibodies to fight the infection if she were to get it again.
- Unfortunately for Bella the virus has entered her body through her blood stream looking for a host so it can multiply.
