- Oh! Is that yours?! Forgive me my lord because I am the one haunting your deer because I didn't know that it has an owner. By the way my name is Princess Feliz.
- There you are! I've been looking all over for you. Oh! Good morning my lady. My name is Diosdado and that is my deer Migo. Thank you for finding my deer.

- Our story began in a small island kingdom, there once lived a very beautiful princess. Her name was Feliz. She was admired by many because not only of her looks but her kind attitude toward others. Aside from this, she was also fond of haunting wild animals, a past time which was very much against her father's wish because she is a lady and a princess in particular and haunting is for men and lads only.Her favorite haunt was the top of a very tall mountain, Mount Indayog.

- My darling, I want you to know that there will be a contest in the palace, a boat race. And whoever wins will get your hand in marriage. I'm quite sure that there are many young brave prince who will participate
- One day, she went for a haunt and she espied a pretty brown deer. It ran so fast that it took her a long time to catch up with it. She almost got the it when suddenly, a man came looking for the deer. That man is princely looking and to her dismay, he was the owner of that deer she was haunting. The man introduced himself and offered her the deer as token of friendshp. Feliz could not resist the polite gesture and accepted the offer. She could not help admiring the prince, who fell in love with her at first sight.

- The beauty of Feliz was known far andwide. Many suitors came to court her, but she turned a deaf ear to them all, for she had set her heart on the modest Diosdado.

- From now on my beloved daughter I shall grant you the freedom to choose whoever your heart desires. You have my blessing.
- Not knowing about her secret love affair, her royal father King Edward announced that her hand would be given to the one who would win the ship race. So the most persistent suitors, the three wealthy kings fitted out vessels for the contest. But unfortunately, Diosdado could not join the contest beacause he was not enough to equip a vessel for the race.
- But Father!
- Feliz was very sad. She prayed to the Gods to have a bad weather so that the race will not continue. Bathala heard her and gave a bad weather but still the race continues. Unfortunately the ships of the three royal suitors who participated sunk and they died beacause of the weather conditions. The king was very devastated and shocked about the incident. The entire kingdom grived over the fate of the three brave suitors.
- Please God, please let there be a bad weather today so that this race will not continue anymore.
- Because of that fateful incident, the father of Feliz decided to allow her daughter to choose her husband. So she confessed to him her secret love. The king gave his blessing and consisted to the marriage. A week of feasting and merrymaking followed and everyone was very happy. To mark the happy union of the two young couple, the island kingdom was named Felicidad, after Feliz and Diosdado. The end.......
