  • What is this horrible noise, UUUGHHHH!
  • Angered by the sounds of loud music and the tales of ancient beginnings, Grendel attacks Herot, killing thirty of Hrothgar 's men. He continues his assault on Herot for twelve winters, destroying any peace for the Danes and Hrothgar's kingdom.
  • Beowulf, a noble warrior in the prime of his life and the nephew of Hygelac, the king of the Geats, hears about Grendel. With fourteen loyal men, Beowulf sails to the land of the Danes.
  • I have brought you to face a monster who has been terrorizing the danes, we will succeed and conquer this beast.
  • When the Geats arrive in the land of the Danes, a watchman at the sea-cliff challenges them. He asks where they're from, what their lineage is, and why they have come. From Beowulf's stature alone the watchman can tell his is a mighty warrior.
  • Who are you, where are you from?
  • I'm going to devour this "hero" before he can even notice me, AGRHGHGRHG!
  • The battle between Beowulf and Grendel is an intense scene and begins when Grendel attempts to devour Beowulf. Beowulf suddenly grabs Grendel by the arm and tightens his grip when the monster attempts to escape. Grendel begins to thrash wildly, and the two nearly destroy the mead hall during their struggle. The Geat soldiers try to intervene, but their weapons are useless. The violent battle ends when Beowulf tears Grendel's arm off, and the monster escapes the hall.
