  • A strength for the British was that they were well trained. They all knew how to work together, which helped them. This was something they had that the Continental Army did not.
  • Unfamiliar Territory

  • ANother strength the British had was that they had all the supplies they needed. This made them more prepared than the Continental Army, because they don't do war. They had the ammo and weapons they needed.
  • Troops Weren't Feeling It
  • Go fight!
  • The British had a lot of troops, 80,000 in total. Along with having all of these people, they were all trained for battle. This gave them the upper hand compared to the Continental Army.
  • Had to Wait for Supplies Over Seas
  • The British came to America during this war. They didn't know the lay of the land, which drug them down. Without knowing where to go, they couldn't strategize a plan.
  • The troops themselves were indifferent to fighting. They weren't fighting for a cause they supported, but were being told to fight by the King. This led to their lack of motivation during the war.
  • The British didn't live in America, meaning they didn't have any of their stuff. The supplies they needed had to be shipped to them wherever they were. Supplies were then limited because there wasn't an easy way to get them
