- Xavier's thoughts: I feel terrible! I can't do anything with high energy. my grades are suffering and I just want to talk to Angel about what happened yesterday.
- WHAT!?! Why do you hate them. They did so much for you guys.
- I am so sorry Xavier. Our parents are arguing again. If I am being honest I hate your parents
- I have never seen you cry dad. You are a great person and we should stop talking to those imbeciles.
- Angels thoughts: I think Xavier is going through some things. I can't believe that he said that I am a terrible friend and we have been friends since the 6th grade... He never knew why I worked so hard in sports
- I know son you have to be super sad. Stay strong. I put my entire life into those kids and this is how they feel?
- No they are our family we need to try and make this up. I understand your anger we just need more time to repair these wounds
- Jabari's thoughts: I could tell that Xavier is suffering... I wonder if he will tell Angel about his depression we can all help each other. I know Xavier didn't mean what he said. My mom's cancer is getting better and things with my brothers are great. Im glad I had so much joy to help myself and others
- I just want to end it all. I hate my life I am grateful for everything but it is time to go...
- Xavier hears something downstairs in the garage. The time of year is close to thanksgiving. He hears some of his cousins, his aunt, and his parents yelling at each other.
- This event happened 2 months after the crazy argument between Xavier's parents and his aunts and cousins. Xavier's cousins accused his parents of being racist, judgemental, and harsh fake people.
- This is now the middle of 8th and Xavier is majorly depressed and he is not doing well in school. He never got to explain himself to Angel and has kept in close contact with Jabari.
