- Justyce McAllister
- Justyce is a Black male. He is tall and has an athletic build. He has afro-ish hair. He likes to wear casual clothing. Sweatshirts and sweatpants. He also really likes Jordans. Those are a type of tennis shoe.

- Manny Rivers
- Manny is a Latino man. He is on the shorter side. Justyce always make sure he's aware of it. He dresses up more than Justyce does. Not Blazers or Tux's. Just not sweatpants.

- Jared Christensen
- Jared is a white male. He dresses in average clothing. He is kind of scruffy but can clean up when he wants to. He wears very expensive clothing. It's not necessarily fancy clothing. It's just expensive.
- Justyce McAllister
- Traits: Tough on the outside, soft on the inside. He relies on a relationship to determine his worth. He doesn't take much time for himself. He is torn between standing up for what is right and not making a fuss. He loves his family with all of his heart. He would take a bullet for his family anyway of the week.
- Motivation: His motivation in life is to be like Martin Luther King Jr. He aspires to be like him in multiple aspects. One being that he wants to inspire others just like MLK did. Another aspect of it being that he wants to encourage people like MLK did. All he really wants is to change society. He just wants to be able to fit in just the way white people do.
- Manny Rivers
- Traits: He is Justyce's best friend. He is a really kind person when he wants to be. He is a big pushover, though. He hangs with a group of not so great kids. This is when he is not with Justyce. Justyce gets annoyed with these kids. Overall, he is a nice dude hanging with the wrong people.
- Motivation: His motivation is to just be there for his best friend. He really appreciates his best friend and that he is always there for him so he likes to return the favor. He works hard at trying to be a people-pleaser. He works hard at school and at sports. Unlike Justyce he is in a very comfortable situation. He knows this and is very grateful for the opportunities his parents provide him.
- Jared Christensen
- Traits: Jared is not a very nice guy. Once word to describe him is racist. Another word to describe him is rude. Finally, the last word to describe him is disrespectful. He doesn't listen to anyone and always has an opinion on everything. No matter how many times he is told something is offensive he never listens. I guess that's white privilege for you.
- Motivation: His motivation is to always be right an always be the smartest person in the room. He acts all tough when in reality he has no idea what he is doing. He really just wants to be someone his parents can brag about. He doesn't want to be a disappointment in their eyes. He fights to always be right. That is his downfall.
- Relationships: He is a ladies man. He has multiple girlfriends throughout the book. Once being S.J. Although she is not his first girlfriend in the book, she is the one Justyce connects with the most. Another one being Melo. She is a player and a cheater. She lies to Justyce all the time. After breaking up and getting back together more times then I can count on 2 hands, Justyce makes the right decision in the end to break up with her for good.
- Relationships: He is not nearly as much of a ladies man as Justyce is. Everyone wants to be friends with Justyce but Manny is a little more quiet. He stays on the side and doesn't go out of his way to make friends. He has a friendship with Jared, though, and nobody is happy about that. Jared is really racist. Nobody likes Jared except for Manny for some reason.
- Relationships: He does not have any relationships in this book except for being friends with Manny. Basically everybody hates him because he is the way he is. He creates a fasad to act all tough when really he is broken inside. He lets takes things that make him the same as others and tries to twist it into a sob story for himself. He really is just broken. He wants to be fixed.
