- Germany 1942
- Pray to God, the Virgin Mary, Jesus, the Pope and Adolf Hitler, Felix!
- Mother Minka and Father Ludwik, why are the soldiers burning the books, I love books!
- Felix, pray that they will deliver us from horror of war!
- I left he orphanage, but after such a long walk, I am hungry. Here's a farm, maybe I can find food.
- Barney take me with you, please I need to find my parents!
- I am a farmer now, please don't hurt my wife and child!
- I can't tell her that her parents are dead! When I find mum and dad, I will have mum tell her.
- My head hurts, I am hungry and where is mutti , and where is my papa?
