- Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. It is an autosomal dominant pattern, which means one copy of an altered gene in each cell is sufficient to cause the disorder.
- Difficulty remembering newly learned information, mood and behavior changes, etc. The effects can lead to someone not paying their bills or someone keeps repeating the same question over and over again, and just their overall daily behavior changes.
