I am a philosopher, I have always thought every single person in the world is naturally innocent.
What he Believed?
You are such a great boy!
Ummm... Okey?
What he was known for?
I am the governor and I will follow one of Jean's arguments!
Jean Jacques Rousseau was born 1712 and died 1778. Jean was a French philosopher, writer and composer. Jean's social contract theory strongly influenced the French Revolution.
Social Contract Theory
I am a free man, walking down the streets of my town.
Jean was a good guy who believed in the goodness of people. He believed all people were naturally innocent and were all born saints.
How Social Contract helped impact our lives today
Jean thank you for giving us this freedom we have today.
Your welcome!
One of Jean's main arguments in the theory was that the power to shape a society's laws belonged to the citizenry. And now in this days that's one of the central foundations of our government.
History / Created By:
Without any history our lives would feel empty, because we wouldn't know anything about our past. But not just that also if it wasn't for other people back in history, we people wouldn't be able to do many things. For example, me (Jean) I helped by advancing that people could make agreements with each other. And this is why history is important.
Almost all of Jean's philosophies included human freedom. Social Contract stated: "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains." Social contract was about: committed to individual freedom, people were happiest when alone, believed society corrupted peoples natural goodness.
The Social Contract helped us in our lives today, by giving us and leading us to equal rights and giving freedom to people. This Social contract advances the idea that people make agreements with the government for the purpose of forming safe societies.
