  • Tornadoes
  • A tornado is a violently rotating column of air that is in contact with both the surface of the Earth and a cumulonimbus cloud.
  • Hurricanes / Cyclones
  • Commonly occurring near tropical areas, these cyclones have low pressure in the center. They can cause heavy rain and high winds.
  • Droughts
  • A drought is a period of drier-than-normal conditions that results in water-related problems (precipitation, under-groundwater).

  • Hail is a form of solid precipitation. This is dangerous as the chunks of ice may vary in size resulting human injuries and even death reported .
