  • Evaporation
  • Oh no! I'm suddenly turning into a water vapor AAAAAA HELP!
  • 20 MINUTES AFTER...
  • Hello there! I'm Popplio, a water droplet from the ocean. Ouch, Mr.Sun, its quite hot today
  • Condensation
  • Wow! The view is so nice up here. I feel so soft and fluffy. The water droplet is now a beautiful cloud. Woohoo!
  • Sublimation
  • Oh no! What is happening to me?
  • You'll be fine, Icy. You are turning into a water vapor and will be like me hours after.
  • Popplio is a water droplet that comes from the Ocean of Dewpider. Since he absorbed the heat energy from the sun, he suddenly starts turning into a water vapor. Little did he know that this would be the start of his journey as a water droplet. From the hydrosphere to the atmosphere, Popplio traveled as he began his adventure through evaporation.
  • Precipitation
  • Its starting to get so cold in here and I'm now breaking down into small particles.
  • As Popplio continued to vaporize into a water vapor, he rose up to the atmosphere. The particles come close together and begin to form clouds and fogs. As condensation occurs, Popplio, the water droplet is now a soft and fluffy cloud way up in the atmosphere.
  • Transpiration and Infiltration
  • In Popplio's journey, he met Icy, a glacier. Icy undergo through a process called sublimation, in which he vaporize into a water vapor. Ice sheets like Icy contributes to water vapors in the air. However, sublimation is a longer process than evaporation.
  • Runoff
  • Due to temperature changes and winds, clouds like Popplio pours down as precipitation. Since the temperature is very low in the location of Popplio, he fell as snow. However, clouds like him can fall as drizzle, rain, sleet and hail which depends on the temperature and wind in the area. With this, Popplio enters the lithosphere.
  • Since the temperature is hot, Popplio began to turn into liquid water. As Popplio precipitates, some of it is absorbed by the soil. He enters the transpiration process in which liquid water is turned into water vapor. The roots of the plants absorb the water and push it towards the leaves, however, the extra water is moved out as water vapor. Thus, water enters the biosphere. Moreover, some of the water moves deep in the soil and undergo to a process called infiltration.
  • What a ride!
  • As Popplio pours down, it leads to runoff, which is a process where water runs over the surface of the earth. The runoff combines to form channels, rivers and ends up to lakes, seas and oceans. In this process, Popplio enters hydrosphere again.
