- This legend takes place in Ireland, the king of the oceans Lir lived with his wife Eva and his four children Fionnuala, Aodh, Fiachra and Conn : a son , a daughter and twin sons.
- But one day Eva died when their children were still young and needed love and attention, it was a tragedy for the family and Lir was devastated.

- Lir married Aoife his dead wife’s so theirs childrens would have a mother
- Aoife, was getting more jealous to see the King spending so much time with the children, she wanted it for herself, so she decided to put in place a diabolical plan.
- The first phase of her plan was to take them to the lake, the next morning, on a beautiful summer day. She promised to teach them how to swim.
- Aoife turns out to be a witch in reality, when a big storm arrived, she turned the children into a swan, they were desecrated
