- This new spices has just arrived at their new environment. they are recognized by their unique sand colored fur and surprisingly how small they are. They are about the size of a red panda. they live in the woods and communicate with a high pitched bark like noise to attract mates. They can climb trees to escape predators.
- The new species is adapting to their environment very well. they are wanding around the areas nearby their caves where they sleep and the pond which is their water supply. They succesfully found a food source, that being bunnies and mice.
- This is the species about 500 generations later. They look exactly the same and are thriving and living the same way the generations before them did
- The next generation of these species ran away from their environment after an earthquake knocked down most of the trees in the area which is how they would escape predators. their den caved in so they could no longer sleep in there. Most of them went off to find a new place to settle in. however the younger ones stayed and found ways to addapt after the earthquake.
- The species adapted very well after the earthquake. they learned to make dens out of tree branches that were all over the ground after the earthquake. they even became strong enough to move the rocks out of the way of the den and inside of the den so they could use it again. after the earthquake, speciation allowed generations after them to form into a new distinct species that are stronger than the original.
- Eventually, about 2000 generations later, the population returned to their ancestors old environment. When they arived, there seemed to be another species that has already taken over the land. Although they are the same species, one has adapted. They can't interbreed because they don't even recognize each other and the adapted species bark is no longer high pitched it's more of a deep howl. Ater being isolated for thoudsnds of generations, and because of natural selection, these are now considered two different species.
